The Tomcat Care Clinic is open for Telehealth visits ONLY. They are not open for in-person visited. This is for the remainder of this week. Please call with any questions.

We are back to school tomorrow, which is also the start of the 2nd semester. Hope everyone had a relaxing holiday break! See you tomorrow! 🐾

Reminder that tomorrow (Nov. 17th), all students will have a 1 hour early release per our district calendar for teacher meetings.

The Athens County Health Department will host an on-site Covid-19 vaccination clinic for our 5-11 year olds on November 18th at 1 pm. Parent/guardian will need to fill out a parent permission form if they want their child to receive the vaccine.

Sealed bids for items listed for sale will be received by the Board of Education of the Trimble Local School District, at the District Office until 3:00pm on Tuesday November 23, 2021. Bids will be opened at the District Office at 9:00am on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021. Bids should include the item number, bid amount and the contact information of the bidder; bids must be sealed and marked “bid closed”. The district shall notify the high bidder and funds shall be received by the district no later than noon on December 1, 2021. Please make all bids addressed as (To the Attention of Jared Bunting).

The Tomcat Care Clinic will be closed today (11/5/21) and all of next week through 11/12/21. A nurse will be there to take phone calls only.

Due to inclement weather, Elementary Trunk or Treat will be moved to the elementary cafeteria. Students and families will need to wear masks while indoors and enter through the parent pick up side doors. The event will be from 6:00-7:30pm and no early entry will be permitted. Kona Ice will still be available for purchase.

Trimble Local Schools would like to determine how many currently enrolled students (ages 5-11) would be interested in receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine if it was offered through an on-site student vaccination clinic. You will find an interest only survey posted on our website on Monday that you can fill out if interested. Thank you!

Parents and community: There are several TikTok challenges and pranks that are trending. However, the newest for October asks students in schools to slap a teacher, video it, and run before being caught. Our staff has been informed to let an administrator know immediately if these types of behaviors are witnessed. These types of behaviors will not be tolerated in any way. In addition, we would like to remind our parents that our cell phone policy states that cell phones are to be in lockers and turned off during the day. We are asking parents to help inform their children about the potentially serious repercussions that could result from participating in these types of challenges. In addition, please help monitor your child’s social media use and have discussions with them about appropriate behaviors. Thank you.

The Tomcat Care Clinic will be closed today and will hopefully reopen tomorrow. We will let you know if they are closed again tomorrow.

Reminder that Trimble Local Schools will have a 1 hour early dismissal for students tomorrow (Wednesday, September 15th). This, as well as future early dismissals, are reflected on our 21-22 school calendar. This time is used for staff professional development and meetings.

Ele/MS reminders: - Tomorrow is picture day for all students except Preschool. Preschool will be a later date. Please send your flyers and money back tomorrow with your child. You can also order online. - We also want to remind our parents about a few dismissal requirements. One is that we do not take bus changes over the phone - this is a safety issue. You must send a note in with your child if you want them to ride a different bus. In addition, we can not take phone calls asking to change a child’s dismissal to parent pick up beyond 2:00 for Middle School and beyond 2:45 for Elementary. We have already started office dismissal procedures at this point.

Elementary/Middle School dates to remember: -Start of the year paperwork is due back by Aug. 23rd. -Picture day for all (except PreK) is Aug. 24th.

Trimble Elementary School will be on a 1 hour delay today (Aug. 18) due to flooding. This is ONLY for the Elementary.
